AME Africa Healthcare

100% effective shareholding

AME provides specialist information technology management services to the healthcare sector, including the implementation of electronic patient records within hospitals. Services provided include planning & system design, procurement, system integration, testing & commissioning, training change management and maintenance & operation. AME is the key contractor for information management and technology services at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital. 

Consulens Medical Healthcare Solutions

100% effective shareholding

Consulens Medical Health Care Solutions is a specialist medical equipment management company, boasting considerable knowledge and technical expertise in the medical equipment field. The company provides comprehensive solutions in the areas of project planning, project management, procurement, installation and commissioning, training and ongoing maintenance. Consulens is the principal contractor for medical equipment for Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital.

Mabilo Investments

92% effective shareholding

Vulindlela are majority shareholders of Mabilo Investments. Mabilo Investments is one of the leading Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) franchisees in South Africa. This international, established quick service restaurant brand has over 900 restaurants in South Africa. Mabilo currently owns and operates 59 KFC outlets and employs approximately 2000 people in Pretoria and the south of Johannesburg, Gauteng.

Kwikspace Modular Buildings

7.8% effective shareholding

Kwikspace Modular Buildings is Vulindlela’s most recent private equity acquisition. Vulindlela co-invested in Kwikspace with Lehumo Women Investment holdings in 2022. Kwikspace is the largest manufacturer of prefabricated and modular buildings for rent or sale. With 50 years of experience in the alternative building technology industry, Kwikspace provides innovative products that are smart space solutions for any accommodation requirements such as mobile homes, kitchens, school classrooms, clinics, standalone ablutions and offices on construction or remote mining sites.

Tandem Lawn Industries

43.3% effective shareholding

Vulindlela are the majority shareholder in Tandem Lawn Industries along side Lehumo Womens Investment Holdings. Tandem is a company which was founded by an experienced KwaZulu Natal based team in 1990 (the founding team had been in the industry since 1974). Tandem started as an assembly plant, where parts were outsourced and then assembled. As the volumes started to grow and the numbers became meaningful, Tandem invested in the plant and machinery, causing it to become the largest of its kind in South Africa. The principal business entails the manufacturing of an extensive range of electric and petrol lawnmowers, trimmers, brush cutters and accessories. Tandem also provides aftersales services and spares to provide timeous gardening solutions. 

Mhlaba Properties

51% effective shareholding

Mhlaba Properties is a 100% black owned construction company that was founded in 2005 in KwaZulu Natal. Mhlaba was established to provide construction services to the private and public sector in KwaZulu-Natal and the rest of South Africa. Mhlaba has a CIDB grading of 7GB, 4CE and 4SQ and also has accreditation by NHBRC to build houses. Mhlaba has previous experience in completing projects for the likes of COEGA Development Corporation. PRASA, Ithala Development Bank, Umgeni Water & the KwaZulu Natal Department of public works. Most recently, Mhlaba was in a joint venture with WBHO to design and construct the new office accommodation for the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development, which was completed in March 2023.
